The &#039;&#039;Bathynomus&#039;&#039; genus is [[benthic]] and abundant in cold waters with a depth of 310–2140 m in the West-Atlantic, including the [[Gulf of Mexico]] and the [[Caribbean Sea|Caribbean]].
