Meadville is located in southwestern Linn County on [[Missouri Route 139]] one half mile north of [[US Route 36]]. [[Laclede, Missouri|Laclede]] is seven miles to the east and [[Wheeling, Missouri|Wheeling]] is four miles west in adjacent [[Livingston County, Missouri|Livingston County]]. The racial makeup of the city was 99.1% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.2% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.4% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 0.2% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.3% of the population.
