English: 1911 St. Louis Cardinals baseball team at a train wreck that occurred on July 11, 1911, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The team was on the passenger train Federal Express when it derailed in the early morning hours. The team was in the last two cars of the train, which were the only cars that did not overturn. The team was credited with assisting other passengers until help arrived; 14 passengers and crew members were killed in the incident.
