  • WHOI source is a 2008 slide show showing a very similar chart (slide 20 of 36), which cites "Knauss 1997" which is apparently an earlier version of:

  • Technical note: SVG code for the grid and axes was automatically generated by the "Line charts" spreadsheet linked at User:RCraig09/Excel to XML for SVG. Additions and adjustments were made in a text editor. SVG code for the data traces was generated by "tracing" source chart in Inkscape, and pasting the path declarations onto the grid.
 This W3C-unspecified vector image was created with Inkscape .
