WHEN she was a student at the Hollywood High School they knew her as Alva White. Even in the studios she was Alva White for a time, but that was when she was a publicity department stenographer and later a script girl working behind the camera. It was with the Alva changed to Alice that she made her first screen appearance with Milton Sills in "The Sea Tiger." Born in Paterson, N. J., July 25, 1907, she is 5 feet high and weighs 105 pounds. Her hair is blonde and her eyes are dark brown.
