English: Elected members of Washington's first legislature, November 1889.

"Congress passed the enabling act to make Washington a state on February 22, 1889. The territory held its constitutional convention July 4 that year and on November 11 was admitted to the Union. The above men were elected to the state's first legislature that met in November, 1889." -- on newspaper article attached to verso.
