Deutsch: Die fünf Menschenrassen. Das Bild zeigt fünf Männer (Kopf und Oberkörper) aus verschiedenen Kulturkreisen: oben links einen Indianer, rechts daneben einen australischen Ureinwohner (Aborigine), im Zentrum einen Europäer, unten links einen Afrikaner, der als einziger im Profil gezeigt wird, rechts daneben einen Asiaten. Die Unterschiede werden am Äußeren, Kleidung, Schmuck und dem Gesicht, deutlich. Die Anordnung der Köpfe, bei der der Europäer im Zentrum als größte Figur steht, weist auf das eurozentrische Weltbild der damaligen Zeit (Anfang 20. Jh.) hin. Die Rassentheorie, welche die Menschheit in verschiedene Rassen einteilt, gilt heute als überholt.
