| Description |
English: Boy allowing the high voltage arc from a Tesla coil to strike his hand. This is probably several hundred thousand volts. But because the Tesla current has a high frequency (probably around 100 kilohertz) he doesn't feel the pain usually associated with electric shock. This is because nerves are insensitive to high frequency electric current. However the lack of pain does not mean this practice is safe. Coming in contact with Tesla coil arcs as shown here is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and can result in electrocution. |
