Summary
| Description |
English: A proposed flag for Oregon, designed by Eddy Lyons. One of the ten finalists in the 2008 contest (in which it was labelled "Flag B") held by The Oregonian newspaper to try and create a new flag for the state. The stylised wagon represents the pioneers who immigrated to Oregon throughout the 19th century. The star in the canton symbolises Oregon's position in the northwest of the United States. Blue and gold are the official Oregonian state colours, and the inclusion of red and white in addition to the blue serves as a homage to the flag of the United States itself. |
