Summary

DescriptionGR-wildfires-2007 NASA-cropped.jpg	English: Made from a combination of visible and infrared light, this image of the southern Peloponnese shows the widespread impact of the 2007 wildfires. In this satellite image, vegetation appears bright green and burned areas appear brick red. The original image, collected by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite on 29 August 2007, shows the whole of southern Greece.
