Notes
English: It is argued that this actually portays Sir William Johnson, Guy's uncle and father-in-law.

[In fact, this is Guy Johnson. Sir William Johnson's facial bone structure is somewhat different than Sir William Johnson's.

Source: I am directly descended from Sir William Johnson through James Francis Johnson, Newark Valley, NY; who is Sir William Johnson's Grandson or Great Grandson. James F Johnson was a 32nd degree Freemason with the 33rd degree conferred posthumously; and a high priest in the Odd Fellows. He was buried with full military honors (Marines) and full Masonic Rites. He once showed me a picture of the painting and told me it was Guy Johnson. I am quite proud to be related to this fine American family.]
