Deutsch: Das Werk besteht aus übergroßen, überzeichneten und auf dem Boden verteilten Bruchstücken der Totenmaske des Dichters, sowie weiteren Gegenständen (z.B. Trommel, Narrenschelle..). Dadurch, dass Gerresheim den Dichter ?vom Sockel? holt, steht der Besucher inmitten einer sogenannten ?Vexierlandschaft?. Das Denkmal thematisiert so das gebrochene Verhältnis der Deutschen zu dem im Pariser Exil verstorbenen Dichter. |
