Yan' Dargent, Les Lavandières de la nuit (réplique), 1888, huile sur toile, 75 x 150 cm. Musée des Beaux-Arts de Quimper, France. Les kannerezed-noz (en breton, "lavandières de la nuit" en français), ces femmes blanches battaient le linge des morts au clair de lune en punition de leurs péchés, invitaient les voyageurs attardés à tordre les draps pour les enchaîner à leur propre damnation (conte collecté par Émile Souvestre en 1845 dans la région de l'estuaire de la Penzé)
