Summary

Description Publicity photo of bandleader Lawrence Welk and singer Alice Lon, who served as Welk's "Champagne Lady" on his television program The Lawrence Welk Show from 1951 to 1959. Lon was fired by Welk for showing what he thought to be too much of her knees on camera.
Date There is no date on the photo; Lon worked on the television program from 1951 to 1959, when Welk dismissed her and subsequently replaced her with Norma Zimmer.
