English: Ernest deKoven Leffingwell at Astronomical Observatory Flaxman Island. Anglo- American Polar Expedition. Canning district, Northern Alaska region, Alaska. The crates of malted milk were donated by Horlick's; the expedition evaluated it both instead of and in alternation with Pemmican. Leffingwell was the same age as William Horlick, Jr, and both attended the grammar school at Racine College. |
