Deutsch: Südwestansicht der Stadtpfarrkirche hl. Jakobus der Ältere in der steiermärkischen Stadtgemeinde Leibnitz.
Ursprünglich wurde als Filialkirche eine romanischen Saalkirche errichtet. Die damalige Pfarrkirche war St.Martin im Ortsteil Altenmarkt. Noch vor 1300 wurde die romanische Apsis abgetragen und durch einen einjochigen, frühgotischen Chor ersetzt, der später um zwei rechteckige Joche nach Westen verlängert wurde. Zwischen 1385 und 1420 wurde der romanische Chorturm abgetragen und an der Nordwand ein neuer, fünfgeschoßiger Glockenturm errichtet. Das niedrige, dreijochige, nördliche Seitenschiff entstand in der Spätgotik. Von 1600 bis 1720 fanden zahlreiche Baumaßnahmen und eine Barockisierung stattː [1].
