  • Der Leipziger Hauptbahnhof mit seinem umfangreichen Gleisvorfeld,
  • rechts davor der Park mit dem Schwanenteich, ganz vorne rechts das Dach der Oper,
  • ganz rechts das Wintergartenhochhaus mit dem Mustermesse-Zeichen, dahinter die Bahnstrecken Engelsdorf – Riesa – Dresden (Erste deutsche Fernbahnstrecke) und Stötteritzer Kurve – Markkleeberg – Altenburg – Hof (Hofer Bahn),
  • nach Norden unter der Berliner Brücke hindurch führt die Bahnstrecke Richtung Dessau – Bitterfeld, von der noch die nach Torgau – Falkenberg abzweigt,
  • nach links die Bahnstrecken nach Halle und Plagwitz, letztere verzweigt sich nach Weißenfels, Gera und Markkleeberg,
  • links hinter dem Hauptbahnhof der alte Freiladebahnhof, darüber das Gasometer Nord an der Roscherstraße, heute beide ungenutzt.
