Excerpt from Julian's Auction catalogue for the Legends Auction, June 13, 2019: Lot #483 BLACK AND WHITE METRO-GOLDWYN-MAYER PHOTOGRAPH An oversized print with a glossy finish depicting two film technicians posing with Leo the Lion in the 1920s. The photograph was taken by Fred Parrish, who is best remembered for being the still photographer on the set of the 1939 MGM film Gone with the Wind. Parrish printed this image years later for display purposes. Matted and framed, 25 by 29 inches; image only, 16 by 20 inches PROVENANCE From the Collection of Fred A. Original registrations in artwork were checked for the year 1928. While Pacific and Atlantic did register some photos in that year, there were none registered pertaining to MGM, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer or Leo the Lion. There's no evidence of original copyright for this photo.
