Deutsch: Die Pest- bzw. Dreifaltigkeitssäule am Freiheitsplatz in der niederösterreichischen Bezirkshauptstadt Mödling.
Sie wurde aus Dankbarkeit für die „Erlösung aus schrecklicher Bedrohung“ nach mehreren Pestepidemien errichtet. Die Grundsteinlegung erfolgte durch Kaiser Karl VI. am 21. Mai 1714. Dargestellt sind an den vier Eckpunkten die Heiligen Sebastian mit Pfeilen, Rochus mit Hund, Karl sowie Franz Xaver und in einer Nische an der Westseite ist die heilige Rosalia liegend dargestellt. |
