Description: Model of the MOUSE, a Minimal Orbital Unmanned Satellite, Earth, designed in 1951 by physicist w:Fred Singer. [1] The model was built by the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia in 1954, then donated by Singer to the Smithsonian in 1962. [2] archive copy at the Wayback Machine
