Original caption: "The gun camera of a U.S. Army 8th Air force P-51 Mustang caught this German Jet-propelled Messerschmitt 262, seconds before the Mustang destroyed it. This action took place over Germany during a recent attack by heavy bombers of the 8th Air Force on oil targets there." The negative was received on 29 November 1944.
