Original description: Nyaro - dorpje van de Nuba - Kau stam en de reuze baobabs. In de regio van Zuid-Kordofan, een ongerept savannegebied bestaande uit gele grassen en acacia's. In het midden van deze oneindige graslanden zien we plots grote granieten rotsblokken opduiken. Tussen deze grote rotsen liggen de Nuba dorpjes van Kau verscholen. Omgeven van reuze baobabs hebben de dorpjes met hun kleurrijke mensen, een magische uitstraling. De Nuba, die leven in centraal Soedan, de provincie Kordofan, verwierven internationale bekendheid door de bijzondere fotoreportages van Leni Riefenstahl.
