English: Dead trees at Orange Spring Mound at Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park. Bacteria and algae create the streaks of color on Orange Spring Mound. It is noticeably different from many of the other terrace formations nearby. Its large mounded shape is the result of very slow water flow and mineral deposition.
Français : Des arbres morts au pied de Orange spring mound (litt. «le monticule-source orange»), l'une des sources chaudes de Mammoth Hot Spring, dans le Parc national de Yellowstone, aux États Unis d'Amérique. Les couleurs sur le monticule sont dues à des algues et des bactéries. Sa forme est différentes de celles des autres dépôts de la zone, qui sont en terrasses.
