A parton egy hosszúkás mezőben vésett latin felirat utal a lakoma helyszínére: PELSO – a Balaton latin neve English: The Sevso or Seuso Treasure, large dish, 70 cm in diameter and weighing nearly 9 kg, which bears the latin inscription:
Hec Sevso tibi durent per saecula multa Posteris ut prosint vascula digna tuis
English: May these, O Sevso, yours for many ages be Small vessels fit to serve your offspring worthily
Magyar: Seuso-kincs, 70 centiméter átmérőjű, csaknem 9 kg súlyú vadásztálon a következő latin felirat olvasható:
Hec Sevso tibi durent per saecula multa Posteris ut prosint vascula digna tuis magyarul: Őriztessenek meg neked még sok évszázadig eme edények, ó Seuso,hogy leszármazottaidnak is javára szolgálhassanak. A felvétel 2014. április 2 -án készült Budapesten, az Országházban. 2014. március 26 –án szerdán, rendkívüli sajtótájékoztatón jelentette be Orbán Viktor, hogy Magyarország visszaszerezte és hazaszállította a Seuso kincs hét darabját, mely három hónapon át megtekinthető az Országházban. A Seuso kincs késő császárkori ünnepi lakoma ezüst készlet. Tulajdonosa, Seuso a 4. század végén, 5. század elején rejthette el a Polgárdi szőlőhegyen. Ez a terület a Balatonnal határos volt abban az időben. A ma ismert és fennmaradt, késő császárkori kincsleletek közül ez a legértékesebb. Seuso tál, tisztálkodáshoz használt edények. Baán László.
