Hrvatski: Park šuma - PF02 Trakošćan - VaraždinGodine 1955. područje uz dvorac, kao i okolno šumovito područje oko Trakošćanskog jezera, proglašeno je zaštićenim područjem, kategorija park-šuma, površine 4,87 km2.Parkovni prostor oko dvorca Trakošćan tipičan je primjer romantičarskog pejzaža iz sredine 19. stoljeća, koji se do danas očuvao u gotovo neizmjenjenom obliku. Pejzaž se dijelom razvio iz autohtone šume hrasta kitnjaka i običnog graba, od koje su do danas ostali sačuvani pojedinačni primjerci starih hrastova. Posađenesu i različite egzotične vrste drveća, koje kroz godišnja doba mijenjaju kolorističku sliku. Umjetno jezero je površine oko 23 ha.
