Description
English: Field Marshal and Prime Minister Plaek Phibunsongkhram (Plaek Phibun) of Thailand with Prime Minister Hideki Tojo of the Empire of Japan. The Japanese Prime Minister Hideki Tojo visited Bangkok on 6 July 1943. The Shonan Times (Syonan Shimbun) reported on 6 July 1943, Page 1: "Thailand Honours Premier Gen. Tojo." "Bangkok, July 6- It is learned that the Thai Government has presented the Order of Chula Chom Klao to Premier Gen. Hideki Tojo during the latter's visit here. The Chula Chom Klao is a Special Order which in the past has been presented only to Princes of the Blood. Members of the Premier's party were also presented with the orders of the White Elephant and Crown of Siam and others." (Source: NewspaperSG - Government of Singapore).
