| Description |
English: Illustration of K. Schmidt's thesis of how autarchic hordes of hunter-gatherers began to form inter-group organisations (tribal alliances) already at the early Neolithic period. Instead of fighting each other for territories, they pooled their labour power, creating the conditions for erecting monuments such as those at Göbekli Tepe. A supplementary thesis of Schmidt's is that this was the only way to jointly protect large areas of wild grain from grazing herds of animals (a precursor to agriculture).

Schmidt sobre cómo las hordas autárquicas de cazadores-recolectores empezaron a formar organizaciones intergrupales (alianzas tribales) ya a principios del Neolítico. En lugar de luchar entre sí por los territorios, unieron su fuerza de trabajo, creando las condiciones para erigir monumentos como los de Göbekli Tepe. Una tesis complementaria de Schmidt es que ésta era la única forma de proteger conjuntamente grandes extensiones de cereales silvestres de los rebaños de animales de pastoreo (un precursor de la agricultura). |
