English: Reddish egret (Egretta rufescens) perched on a dead tree scouting for fish. Shot near the bay of Lac Cai on the east side of Bonaire, a small island in the Dutch Caribbean (BES Islands). Mangroves fringe the backwaters of the bay where this reddish egret was fishing from a 4 ft (1.2 m) high perch for a "bird's-eye" view of the water. |
