English: This route marker is attached to a wooden post on a public footpath in the parish of Nuffield, Oxfordshire. It indicates the direction of the path as it passes northeast through Huntercombe Golf Club on Nuffield Common. The route of the Ridgeway national trail follows this path, hence the acorn symbol on the waymark's arrow: this symbol is associated with the National Trails of England and Wales. Yellow arrows are commonly used to waymark public footpaths, whereas other public rights of way have different associated colours (e.g. blue for bridleways). |
