English: Sukh Niwas Palace, Bundi, circa 1900. – This is a cropped (by 50%) and reduced (by 20%) version of the photograph "Sukh Mahal building, on the bank of Jaitsagar Tank, Bundi." of the Sukh Niwas Palace on the edge of the Jait Sagar tank at Bundi, Rajasthan by Gunpatrao Abajee Kale, c.1900. It was used as a summer palace by the Maharajas of Bundi State and was the scene of festival processions. Rudyard Kipling stayed in the Sukh Niwas Palace and got inspiration for his book 'Kim' during his stay. |
