English: The Turkish battlecruiser TCG Yavuz (B-70) with two Turkish destroyers at the Bosporus strait in Istanbul, Turkey, circa May 1947. The photo was taken from the visiting U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Leyte (CV-32). Leyte, with assigned Carrier Air Group 7 (CVG-7), was deployed to the Mediterranean Sea from 3 April to 9 June 1947. |
