Magyar: A legendás kuruc hadvezér. Thököly Imre egyetlen ismert olajképén a fejedelem a kezében egy csákányt tart. Thököly 1683–1685 között felvett ingóságai között szerepelt két ezüstös-aranyos csákány is. A 17. század végére, a 18. század elejére vált jellegzetessé a csákány csőrének erős ívben történő aláhajlása, majd enyhe visszakunkorodása . Ebben a formában lett a csákány jellegzetes paraszti-polgári fegyverré a 18–19. század folyamán. |
