English: A tiger's eye cabochon lighted by different directions. The light direction can be guessed by the cabochon's shadow on the background. The wood upon which the cabochon rests also has mild chatoyancy; the aligned wood fibers are analogous to the aligned quartz fibers in the tiger's eye. |
