Français : une canne de marchand de bestiaux. Les marchands de bestiaux n'utilisaient pas, lors des foires, le traditionnel bâton de chataignier mais une canne dite " canne de marchand". Son pommeau est trés coudé, pour garder la canne bien coincée autour du bras, ce qui laisse les mains totalement disponibles pour accomplir au mieux l'ensemble des actes liés à la transaction ( accord, papiers, réglement, rendu de monnaie...). Sa tige va en s'amincissant, avant de reprendre, en fin de tige, sa taille d'origine. Ce profil particulier de la tige génére un "effet de fouet" lorsque la canne est utilisée pour faire tourner ou avancer les bêtes.
