Description

English: It is situated at proper Imphal into the Kangla heritage site and it is called "Kangla Uttra Sang". At the time of British colonization five British officers, namely, Mr.J.W.Quinton (Chief Commissioner of Assam), Mr. Cossins (Assistant Secretary to the Chief Commissioner), Mr. Grimwood (Political Agent), Lieutenant Colonel Skene (42nd Gurkha Regiment) and Lieutenant Simpson (43rd Gurkha Regiment) were killed at the front of this Kangla Uttra Sanglen. As revenge, British bombarded this site in 1891. It was rebuilt in 2011.
