== History ==
FSFE was founded in 2001. It is the European sister organization of the US{{nbhyph}}based [[Free Software Foundation]] (FSF), although each foundation exists as a separate organization.<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://fsfe.org/about/fsfnetwork.html|title=The FSF* network|website=FSFE - Free Software Foundation Europe|language=en|access-date=2019-11-26}}</ref>
