'''NGC 2070''' (also known as '''Caldwell 103''') is a large [[open cluster]] and candidate [[super star cluster]] forming the heart of the bright region in the centre-south-east of the [[Large Magellanic Cloud]].<ref name=shapley>{{cite journal|bibcode=1963IrAJ....6...74S|title=A Catalogue of Clusters in The LMC|journal=Irish Astronomical Journal|volume=6|pages=74|language=en|last1=Shapley|first1=H.|last2=Lindsay|first2= E. M.|year=1963}}</ref> This cluster was discovered by French astronomer [[Nicolas-Louis de Lacaille]] in 1752.<ref name=Jones_1969>{{cite journal | title=The search for the nebulae - VI | last=Jones | first=K.
