The promontory is {{convert|3|mi|km}} northwest of the west end of [[Fremont Island]] in [[Weber County, Utah|Weber County]].<ref name="point"/> The [[Lucin Cutoff]] passes {{convert|1250|ft|m}} north of the point of the promontory.<ref name="point"/>
