==Plot==
Three young, female lawyers share a deep friendship and a common desire to leave their mark on the legal system. After graduating, they move to [[San Francisco]] where they find employment in the same law firm called Myers, Berry, Cherry & Fitch. There, the women attempt to break through the barriers of the male-dominated workforce. In describing the concept of ''girls club'' Kelley said, "I'm looking to capture both the nerves of a young associate and also the gender politics that go on inside big corporate law firms."<ref name="USA-050802">{{cite web|url=https://www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2002-08-05-kelley_x.htm|title=Kelley comes back with 'Girls Club'|last=Levin|first=Gary|date=5 August 2002|publisher=[[USA Today]]|access-date=13 March 2010}}</ref>
