&lt;br /&gt;
Built by Scotts of Greenock as Chungking, a cargo/passenger liner for the China Navigation Co. Both &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Chungking&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and her sister vessel &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Changchow&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (later {{ship|RFA|Resurgent}} lost their initial purpose due to the Communist revolution.
