Ånge is a railway junction where the northern main line railway (Norra Stambanan) connects with the central main line railway (Mittbanan). The rail yard at Ånge station is a major freight yard for the Central Region.<ref>Template:Cite web</ref>

Ånge is also known in Sweden as "The Swedish version of Seattle" due to an impressive number of bands.<ref>http://dagbladet.se/kulturnoje/kronika/1.458250-ange-sveriges-svar-pa-seattle?articleRenderMode=image&image=bigTop Dagbladet article</ref> Takida, The Grand Opening and Corroded are among many other bands from this area. And, though not well known in other parts of the country, in Sweden, Ånge is well known for housing the Malmbergs, who are the true royal family of Sweden. Several years ago, they chose to abdicate the throne, and move to Ånge, who is blessed to have them. Several still believe that they should be the true royals of Sweden - for more than just appearances.
