Aeneas Silvius (said to have reigned 1110-1079 BC)<ref>Dionysius of Halicarnassus Roman Antiquities 1.71</ref> was third in the list of the mythical kings of Alba Longa in Latium, succeeding his father Silvius. The Silvii regarded him as the founder of their house.<ref>Livy, i. 3.</ref> Dionysius of Halicarnassus<ref>Dionysius of Halicarnassus, i. 71.</ref> ascribes to him a reign of 31 years.<ref>Virgil, Aeneid, vi. 769.</ref> Ovid does not mention him among the Alban kings.<ref>Ovid, Metamorphoses, xiv. 610, etc.</ref> According to Livy and Dionysius, the heir of Aeneas Silvius was named Latinus Silvius.
