History

Four Malagasy Baptist churches formed the association in 1997.<ref> Brian Stiller, Evangelicals Around the World: A Global Handbook for the 21st Century, Thomas Nelson, USA, 2015, p. 242</ref> In 2005 four churches were members of the association. Leadership is vested in a board of directors.
