The reservoir is about Template:Convert long, over Template:Convert wide, and about Template:Convert deep at the dam when full. Its surface area is Template:Convert.

Ecology

The reservoir is known as the place where Bill Oddie did much of his early birdwatching, and features in his books (notably Bill Oddie's Gone Birding) and television programmes. His first ever published article, for the West Midland Bird Club's annual report, was about the birds of the reservoir.<ref name="Oddie-1963">Template:Cite journal</ref>

Leisure

Culture
