Carlina curetum is a species of the genus Carlina.<ref>Template:Cite journal</ref><ref>Template:Cite journal</ref> It is also called carline thistle. It is native to the eastern Mediterranean, including Crete, the Levant, Israel and Egypt.<ref name = powo/>

Subspecies and varieties

Three subspecies and varieties are accepted.<ref name = powo/>

  • Carlina curetum subsp. curetum – Crete and Karpathos
  • Carlina curetum var. montana Template:Small – Lebanon
  • Carlina curetum subsp. orientalis Template:Small – Egypt, Israel and Palestine, Lebanon and Syria
