Note: in rugby league terms, the United Kingdom and Great Britain do not exist, except for the purposes of the Great Britain national rugby league team. Rugby league in the British Isles is governed, organised and internationally represented on the basis of England, Ireland (as a single unit), Scotland and Wales. Rugby league players are usually designated English, Irish, Scottish, Welsh rather than British.
