It does not focus on people who are activists in other fields, who are themselves LGBTQ; such individuals may be found in Category:LGBTQ activists.

Inclusion in this category does not necessarily mean that a person is themselves lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer, as LGBTQ rights have also been supported by many heterosexual allies. Template:Category distinguish
