Drive time is the daypart in which radio broadcasters can reach the most people who listen to car radios while driving, usually to and from work, or on public transportation.<ref name="CambridgeOnline">{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> Drive-time periods are when the number of radio listeners in this class is at its peak and, thus, commercial radio can generate the most revenue from advertising.<ref name="USLeg-AdvMedAudLaw">{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> Drive time usually coincides with rush hour.<ref name="SwansonEverett2015">Template:Cite book</ref><ref name="Leigh1998">Template:Cite book</ref>
