Template:Short description The following is the family tree of the Spanish monarchs from the former kingdoms of Aragon (see family tree), Castile (see family tree) and Navarre (see family tree). They unified in 1469 as personal union, with the marriage of the Catholic Monarchs of Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon to become the Kingdom of Spain. This was only de facto unification until Philip V's Nueva Planta decrees in 1715 unified them de jure.
