The Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS, Template:Langx, Template:Langx, Template:Langx, Template:Langx) is one of the seven departments of the Swiss federal government. It is headed by a member of the Swiss Federal Council, the Swiss defence minister. In 1998, its name was changed from Federal Military Department to its current day iteration.<ref>Template:Cite web</ref>
